Week of November 24

THANKSGIVING arrives at the Florida Home.  This year is very special since both sons and all our grandchildren will be here for much of the week.  We are busily setting up extra beds in PopPop’s office for Miles and Graham’s room.  Boxes and boxes of toys are appearing from their storage places in the garage.  Nonny has created a parking lot in the garage complete with parking spots for the array of bikes and wheel toys.  Lots of yummy food has been bought, and a large basket of grapefruit and tangerines from the backyard citrus trees has been collected.  Fall flowers and our gourd collection from TAProots farm decorate the kitchen.  But the center of attention is the swimming pool, now covered with a Gator blue blanket!  It takes some days to warm up the pool’s water to 80 degrees, so we put the blanket on to keep the heat in the pool. When the grands arrive, the first thing they want to do is jump in the pool.  We’re making sure they can do just that.
